Edward E. Klein

Founder and Managing partner 

Edward E. Klein is the Founding and Managing Partner of The Klein Law Group CRE, PLLC. 

 

An authority in the development, financing, sale, leasing and purchase of commercial and multi-family properties, Mr. Klein specializes in negotiating commercial and residential leases, sale-leaseback transactions, joint venture and partnership agreements, tax investments, zoning and land use issues and commercial real estate transactional litigation. He is also an expert in facilitating financing for clients.

 

Prior to the establishment of The Klein Law Group, Mr. Klein founded Klein & Solomon in 1996. He had previously been a partner at Salon, Marrow & Dyckman. Earlier in his career, he was associated with Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft. 

 

Mr. Klein conducts seminars on commercial real estate issues for property owners and management firms. These seminars are widely attended by the firm’s clients and their employees. 

Mr. Klein serves on the attorney review board for the New York City Bar Association’s Legal Referral Service and, despite his hectic professional schedule, has made giving back a priority in his life. For his philanthropic efforts, he has been honored by many nonprofit organizations, including Yeshiva Torah Temimah, Congregation Beth Jacob and the Center for Russian Return/Kehilas Moreshes Yaakov.

Efrem Z. Fischer

Efrem Z. Fischer is a Senior Counsel with The Klein Law Group CRE, PLLC.

Mr. Fischer practices in the areas of commercial landlord tenant litigation and complex commercial litigation. Additionally, Mr. Fischer has developed an extensive knowledge in a broad range of commercial litigation areas, including contract law, debtor/creditor rights, fraudulent conveyances and construction law. 

Prior to joining The Klein Law Group, Mr. Fischer served as an Assistant Attorney General for the State of New York and was an associate with several boutique law firms located in New York where he gained substantial real estate litigation experience while representing commercial real estate developers and landlords in New York. Mr. Fischer’s experience has produced both complex settlements and favorable court decisions.

Martin H. Gelber

Of-Counsel

Mr. Gelber handles a wide range of practice areas, including commercial leasing, real estate financing and corporate law, specializing in business acquisition, financing and ongoing corporate representation.

Mr. Gelber gained invaluable experience at the law firms of Feit & Ahrens, a premier leveraged buyout firm which merged into Proskaeuer Rose, and Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, where he was an associate in the mergers and acquisitions group.

Mr. Gelber’s expertise also extends to drafting employment, consulting, loan, security, subordination, pledge, intercreditor, joint venture, shareholder, operating and partnership agreements. He has crafted contracts ranging from HMO-Provider agreements and satellite licensing to manufacturing, licensing and distribution agreements.

Mr. Gelber is the recipient of the American Judicature Society Award for Academic Excellence and the American Jurisprudence Award for Excellence in Contracts.

Stacy F. Sperka

Of-Counsel 

Stacy F. Sperka is Of Counsel to The Klein Law Group CRE, PLLC.


Ms. Sperka specializes in commercial and retail leasing, with substantial experience in representing tenants in shopping center leases.  She has structured, drafted and negotiated real estate transactions for privately held corporations as well as publicly-held restaurant franchises.  In addition, Ms. Sperka assisted in completing the more than 80 Foot Locker leases for its nationwide “Street Leasing” programs. 
Previously associated with two law firms in Los Angeles,  Loeb and Loeb and Weissmann, Wolff, Bergman, Coleman and Silverman,

Christine Hurley

Paralegal 

Christine Hurley is a paralegal with The Klein Law Group CRE, PLLC.


Ms. Hurley has been a Paralegal with The Klein Law Group for more than 21 years. She has handled thousands of commercial landlord tenant matters along with dozens of small claims and civil court claims against recalcitrant tenants. She works hands-on to facilitate quick action on many of our  landlord-tenant matters.
